It highlights the discomforts and dangers inherent in the spring seal fishery and the courage exhibited by Newfoundlanders and Labradorians trying to support their families and communities.

It explains the motivating factors for the seal fishery and how this industry changed over time. A Story of Change addresses the misconceptions concerning the seal fishery and aims to present an accurate narrative concerning one of our most vital resources. It demonstrates the undisputable link between the hardships faced by sealers and our present day prosperity.
